Who can train in wax removal?

There is no legislation limiting who can train in wax removal, but you should always check with your training company if they have insurers who accept their certificate of training. 

At OnPointPro we have an insurer who offers medical Malpractice Insurance for all our students.

Will I be qualified when I am trained?

Qualifications. Here is the confusion. Currently there are no qualifications in Ear Wax Microsuction. Any company advertising or promoting qualifications without evidence to support their claim is misleading students. Most businesses offering training will issue a certificate. At OnPointPro all our Courses are CPD accredited meaning you have a valid certificate to present to insurers and clients/patients.

What does it cost to train in Microsuction?

Many courses are available at varying prices from £500 to £2000.

Questions you should ask and consider.

How many students will be on my course? 

Most companies offer group training with a limited number of tutors; will you get the one-to-one attention and support you need during training? 

Does the cost justify your training with many other students, flooding the local market?

At OnPointPro we only offer one to one training (very occasionally two to one training by prior arrangement) this ensures our students receive constant support and attention.

Will I learn on a Plastic Head?

Many companies train you on a plastic head. This practice does not prepare you for the complexities of the human ear, is variety and complications. Ear wax is challenging to remove; a plastic ear does not represent human wax.

At OnPointPro you train entirely on human models, people who present with real wax blockage. You will see the complexities of safe wax removal, and you will be always supported by your tutor who has extracted wax safely from 1000’s of ears.  You must master safe techniques to limit damage to the ear canal., a plastic ear can’t teach you that. Many models become long standing clients, a good start for your business.

Should I buy a package with equipment?

Many companies upsell courses with equipment packages.

There are subscription packages which tie you into long term contracts.

At OnPointPro we don’t sell equipment. We want our students to try out equipment, ask our advice and make an informed decision before making a purchase.

Should I buy a Franchise?

In our opinion, no. You are locked into a financial package which isn’t needed to run a successful service.

At OnPointPro we show you how to set up your business with tips on marketing etc. You will get a listing on our website to help clients find you in your local area.

Where can I train?

Many companies offer courses in cities for multiple students at the same time.

At OnPointPro we are different, we come to you saving you time and money on transport and accommodation.

Our in-house training (we bring everything with us) gives you the opportunity to advertise and offer this service to new and existing clients.

Once booked we send you a 40 plus page manual covering everything and more.

This gives you the opportunity to prepare questions and pre study some conditions and contra indications you may face as a Practioner.
